This was definitely challenging for me. I wanted to add more, but it looked too busy and did not flow right. I tried to make the theme as John Denver was "Home" (heaven) and the country roads took him there, but it was hard for me to portray it in the image. I hope that it kind of shows.
He died way too young...he was a great artist!

John Denver
I chose to do my book cover on folk artist John Denver. I loved listening to him growing up and I still remember the day he died in the plane crash. I have been listening to his music again these past few days as I design and I still love it. I actually downloaded some on my ipod for my runs. I look forward to the outcome of my project, I have a feeling I am going to be more challenged than the past two =)

Lung Cancer Awareness Poster
I had a lot of fun with this project. I had many more ideas, but when I put it on the paper it looked too "busy", so I will probably create separate ones for my school talks coming up this fall.
The lungs took me a couple hours to make, but I enjoyed it.
I actually took a cigarette from a friend so I could take a picture of it for this project. Being a former smoker (13 years ago I Quit), it is still hard to have a cigarette in your presence. My husband and I actually lit it and both took a drag....we both wanted to vomit!! I can't believe I was actually a smoker and how gross it really is.
I really hope that someday soon the government wakes up and makes cigarettes illegal....lives are way more important than money!!!
