Lung Cancer/Quit Smoking Awareness Poster.

Hi everyone. I chose lung cancer / quitting smoking for my awareness poster because it has a very special meaning to me. My mom died in 2001 from lung cancer and my dad is a lung cancer survivor.

..and I also plan on talking in schools this year.

I am excited about this project because I will probably use it with my talks and programs.

The only challenge I see is my darn computer...lol...but hopefully it will not give me any more issues.

Band Poster ..Howlin' Wulf

I had tons of fun learning how to layer photos!! I am very excited because I know this is only the beginning of awesome stuff to come =)

This is my poster of Howlin’ Wulf =)…I blended 8 photos together to come up with my “poster” =)

I also used the polygonal lasso tool to do the light shooting out from behind the name. I think that was the most challenging part. I think I had to watch that video about 10 times before being able to do it on my own. It was definitely worth it because I like the effect it gave to my poster.

The moon picture I used three times. It is in the guitar, in the band name and behind the band name. The moon was really the center of the project because it was my own photo….. a photo that I love =)

Howlin' Wulf

My Band is called Howlin' Wulf.

Yes I know Wulf is spelled wrong and it's on purpose =)....that is my married last name although I haven't changed it legally yet. it's only been 13 years....I will get to it someday.

I was definitely nervous about these sketches because I can't draw. I told my daughter I had to draw and she laughed at me. I am definitely not very artistic with a pencil. I can be creative in my mind, but it is very hard for me to put it on paper.

I picked the guitar as the main focus point. I want to work a cool moon picture I took into it along with a wolf howling. I would like to make the background a starry night and also add a shadow of wolf eyes.

The band name will be framed and hopefully I can add some cool effects to it.

this is the first time I have ever layered pictures and I am having too much fun with it. I am very glad I took this class because just in these few short weeks I have learned stuff that I have wanted to do for years.
